Trip Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: ARRIVE KATHMANDU AND TRANSFER TO HOTEL Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. You will be received and welcomed by our airport representative and transfer you to your hotel. At the hotel you will be served with a welcome drink and will brief you about your programme. Evening is free and relax for you to stroll around the city.

Day 02: FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF KATHMANDU This is a full day city tour of three UNESCO WORLD HERITGE SITES Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Soyambhunath. After breakfast we drive to Pashupatinath, the 16th century holy temple of Lord Shiva. As this temple is one of the most sacred Shiva temples on the subcontinent, thousands of Hindu devotees visit this temple each year. Before this 16th Century temple was build, the temples and the Lingams were smashed to dust by Muslim invaders in 14th Century and it is believed that all those Lingams rose again to their original shape and size. Another site of importance is the Ghats (crematorium) at the bank of Holy Baghmati River beside the temple.

Then we drive to Boudhanath Stupa, also known as the 'Khasti' is the largest stupa in the Valley and one of the largest in the world. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design with hundreds of prayer wheels and 108 small images of Buddha all around. All the Buddhist throng to this stupa to take part in the sacred rituals during the Buddhist festivals. The area is also known as 'Little Tibet' as we can see monks in maroon robes, people with prayer wheels in their hands and the rituals of prostration are presented to the Buddha as worshippers circumambulate the stupa on their hands and knees, bowing down to their lord.

After lunch we drive to Swayambhunath, the golden spire of the 5th-century is adorned with a colorful fluttering of prayer flags; crowns a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley and offers fantastic views over the city of Kathmandu. The painted four eyes of Buddha on all sides of this stupa is one of the most recognizable symbols in Nepal. Soyambhunath is also the best place to observe the religious harmony in Nepal as we can see many Hindu temples amid the Buddhists statues and naturally pilgrims from both faiths can be observed. The stupa is also known as 'The Monkey Temple' as scores of monkeys can be seen all around the complex.

In the evening we will be visiting one of the most beautiful and romantic places in Kathmandu the Garden of Dreams. This 19th century Palace garden has been maintained and are given its natural texture and is combined with a world class authentic restaurant. You can have your memorable dinner at this beautiful place.

DAY 03: FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING OF KATHMANDU & PATAN CITY Today we will be visiting two more UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES. After breakfast drive to Patan Durbar Square is an architectural centre of ancient masterpieces. Krishna Mandir, the 16th century stone temple, 12th century Golden Temple which is a unique Buddhist monastery along with uncountable temples and stupas are the main attraction of this square.

Kathmandu Durbar Square has the blending architectures from 14th Century till 19th century. The square is divided into Hanuman Dhoka palace complex and the Kumari chowk. Hanuman Dhoka complex used to be the royal palace until 19th century and still holds two beautiful museums while Kumari Chowk still houses Kumari the Living Goddess.

DAY 04: DEPARTUR TRANSFER TO AIRPORT FOR ONWARD DESTINATION After breakfast you will be then transferred to the airport for onward destination.
